The project was carried out to stop the degradation of the works, which had become more pronounced in recent times. The interventions carried out focused on stabilizing the support, cleaning the surface and protecting the pictorial material.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The restoration was accompanied by a historiographical study that has helped to determine the chronology and find out the exact location of the elements represented. The study concludes that both paintings show a fragment of the disappeared wall of Girona, specifically the Porta de Figuerola, which formed the access to the Baluard of the same name, in the place where the Post Office building currently stands.
