    On Saturday, June 14 at 12 noon, the Museu d’Art de Girona inaugurates “Feeling \/ Expressing”, a traveling exhibition that invites us to reflect on the value of emotions, through contemporary art. The exhibition focuses on the communicative power of art, while also vindicating the need to recognize and express what we feel. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n

    The exhibition can be seen in Girona until November 2, and will later tour three more cultural spaces: the Can Many\u00e9 Art and Creation Center, in Alella; the Palau Foundation, in Caldes d’Estrac; and the Cerdanyola Art Museum.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n

    Curated by Fina Duran and Merc\u00e8 Pomer, “Feel \/ Express” brings together the work of four contemporary artists: Ricard Aymar (Saragossa, 1973), Francesca Riu (La Garriga, 1990), Tura Sanglas (Ordis, 1992) and Jordi Tolosa (Badalona, \u200b\u200b1956). Each of them presents two works, plus a third created and produced expressly for the exhibition. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n

    These are the result of a dialogue with heritage works from each of the institutions: Ricard Aymar starts from the poem Ombra d’Anna by Josep Palau i Fabre to investigate loss (Palau Foundation); Francesca Riu dialogues with El nen i l’estel by Marian Espinal Armengol and reflects on hope (Cerdanyola Art Museum); Tura Sanglas is inspired by a Romanesque capital from the Girona Art Museum and questions the ways of looking and seeing; and Jordi Tolosa interprets the Riera Fosca d’Alella, an image of the geography of the surroundings of Alella that connects the land and the sea (Can Many\u00e9 Art and Creation Center). In addition, this becomes a metaphor for the duality that surrounds us and that can bring us, at the same time, fullness and melancholy. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n

    In short, a set of perspectives that, through diverse languages \u200b\u200bsuch as sculpture, drawing, textiles or installation, evoke emotions as human as sadness, guilt, desire, fear or hope. In addition, the exhibition also invites reflection on how art can transform and externalize emotional experience, establishing connections between the past and the present, the internal world and artistic expression. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n

    The exhibition is accompanied by texts by psychologist Bruno M.
