The Girona Art Museum (md’A) offers a diverse itinerary through the art that comes from the Girona region, from Romanesque to contemporary styles.
On your visit, you’ll discover outstanding works, such as altarpieces from the 14thcentury and paintings from the 19thcentury, all held in a location loaded with history, the former Episcopal Palace, where the institution is based. The museum also manages heritage sites such as the former Saint Catherine’s Hospital, now the seat of the local office of the Generalitat of Catalonia in Girona. An exceptional hospital pharmacy has been preserved within the Baroque period building dating from the 17-18th centuries.
