Guided tour and cocktail
This guided tour brings us closer to the exhibition «Concha Ibanez. The evocation of the landscape», which is part of the commemoration of the centenary of the artist’s birth.
In the work of Concha Ibáñez (Canet de Mar, 1926 – Barcelona, 2022), the landscape will be a central motif. She elaborated them with a particular working method: during her travels she made all kinds of studies and sketches and, once back in Barcelona, she painted them in series. Far from traditional landscaping, Ibáñez elaborates an original vision of the places visited, where the synthesis of forms and reduced chromaticism become a mark of style.
His landscapes, which sometimes border on abstraction, enchant us with their particular way of transforming reality to offer us a reflection of his way of being in the world. A world in which the exhibition also aims to investigate through the exhibition of his engravings, original documentation and objects that belonged to him.
