Bestiary: let's play hide-and-seek with the museum's animals!
The Art Museum presents an augmented reality game designed to bring children aged 8 to 12 closer to artworks in the museum by observing the animals that appear in them. The activity is simple and works using a tablet. The lioness, one of the iconic animals of the Art Museum and the city of Girona, will guide us through the museum in search of the other animals hidden in the pieces of the collection.
Along the route, children will find signs on the floor that need to be scanned. When scanned, the app detects a small animal that appears in one of the artworks in that room. Visitors must look carefully to locate it. Once found, the voice of the lioness explains the artwork or introduces basic concepts from the history of art.
Conceptualization and development: VISYON, using the BUTLAR augmented reality platform.
Content development: Girona Art Museum.
Free activity and available all year round, go to the museum reception to request the tablets.
