Being a Friend of the Museu d’Art de Girona means being part of a community that loves art and culture.

With the Friends card, you can enter the Museu d’Art de Girona free of charge, enjoy our temporary exhibitions and permanent collection, and take an active part in the cultural life of the city.

Who we are

The Association of Friends of the md’A in Girona was established in 1992, with the following objectives:

  • To promote and raise awareness of the Museu d’Art de Girona, collaborating with the institutions and organisations that are responsible for it.
  • To collaborate with the Museum’s management in achieving its aims.
  • To help preserve and improve its heritage, through the restoration of works, in agreement with the Museum’s technical team.
  • To contribute to the cultural enrichment of its members by organising trips, excursions, visits, lectures, and cultural events.
  • The Association of Friends of the md’A aims to be a cultural reference in the city and the Girona region.

Being a Friend of the Museu d’Art de Girona means supporting and contributing valuable assistance to make the Museum a participatory centre.

  • Receive regular updates on the md’A’s news, especially through its newsletter.
  • Access the specialised library and the md’A Documentation Centre for consultation.
  • Be informed about all events organised by the Museum and the Association, through the quarterly agenda and other communication channels.
  • Obtain discounts on paid activities and on publications and items from the md’A shop (10% on Museum publications and 5% on in-house items).
  • Enjoy free entry to the Museum for two people and for accompanying minors under 18.
