Painting workshop within the framework of the exhibition “Concha Ibanez. Evoking the landscape»
In this family workshop, we will discover how Concha Ibáñez (Canet de Mar, 1926 – Barcelona, 2022) worked: instead of painting in front of the landscape, the artist made drawings, sketches and photographs during her travels and, once home, painted from those images and the memories she kept of them. Thus, her landscapes are not a copy of reality, but a personal evocation: full of synthesis, color and emotion.
We will do the same with Girona. We will visit the temporary exhibition, go out to see the panoramic views of the city and then return to the Museum’s workshop to create our own landscape of the city, in the style of Ibáñez.
