The Girona Art Museum celebrated Sant Jordi’s Day 2026 with a day full of activities that brought together more than 800 participants, including students and visitors.
The most outstanding activity was Les heroïnes de Sant Jordi , a children’s show by La senyoreta (Mireia Peña), held at the Antic Hospital de Santa Caterina . The play presented the knightly cousin, the brave grandmother and the dreamy little sister of Sant Jordi: three characters who vindicated the role of women through a new and fun look at the legend. Around 200 students participated.
Also at the Old Hospital of Santa Caterina, the Museum proposed a workshop where children could create their own bookmark in the shape of a dragon inspired by the works of the md’A. A free and creative activity in which 170 students participated.
And in the afternoon, the Old Hospital of Santa Caterina hosted guided tours open to the public, with the participation of 60 people.
In addition, the Art Museum opened its doors free of charge during the day, and nearly 400 people took the opportunity to visit it.
